Holiday Inn Portsmouth by IHG

Decent hotel at a fair price. It’s a nice little hotel, nothing special, but it looks clean and it was pretty quiet overall. The only downside is that you can hear vehicles moving outside through the rather thin windows. It was snowing heavily when I arrived, but there was plenty of activity in the yard and the team clearly made an effort to keep the snow cleared, which I appreciated. Breakfast was very quiet so it was served a la carte. I had a burrito and it was pretty decent. The rooms are a good size, with decent hot water pressure, and they’re fitted with a fridge, microwave, and a coffee machine, which is always a plus. Staff were very friendly and hardworking. You could see the same people working both evening and morning shifts, which says a lot. If you don’t fancy eating at the hotel, there’s a nice diner right next door.

Rooms were beautiful & very clean. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Pool was great. Hotel restaurant wasn’t bad either.

My wife and I took three days and two nights to visit Portsmouth, New Hampshire last week. We chose the Holiday Inn because of their very reasonable price. It was an outstanding stay. The room was incredibly clean, with housekeeping arriving each day. The front desk employees were all cheerful and helpful. A special shout out to “Joe”, who services the Port City Pub; he was friendly, hardworking and accommodating. Thank you to all the staff, from general manager to maintenance.

Scott is the best! Will be back!! I had an event at the Holiday Inn this past week . What amazing costumer service Scott gave us and the attention to detail he gave. He checked in on us and made sure we had the best Experience. He checked in on us mulitple times through the event. He made sure we were taking care of. The previous location (Round About Diner) booked over us because they could get a higher paying client. Scott gave us so much help and answered all my questions and always helped me solve any issues i had. I would book an event in a heart beat and will. I am so thankful to him and his staff. We will be having alit more events there

We had outstanding, courteous, patient and wonderful service at the Holiday Inn IGH in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. We recommend any and all visitors coming from far and wide to enjoy the staff and the services of this hotel. They did an outstanding job for the week that we stayed here. Our very best

Small but comfortable rooms. They do have microwave, fridge and ironing board and iron. The indoor pool is nice. It's hard to keep the pool area warm with all the glass when it's single digits outside. The bed is comfortable!!!

Love this place! Shout-outs for Scott and his outstanding team. They have consistently provided exceptional customer service for our recurring training events. They have gone above and beyond with amenities, audio/visual tech support (projector, speakers, screens, etc.) Our participants love the coffee, the atmosphere and the attention to detail with pens, pads of paper, mints, water bottles, and napkins all set out for each person. They help us keep the classes classy! I would highly recommend this venue if you are considering options in the area for a professional training or speaking event. Cheers!

Great service from every employee we ran into; always trying to ensure we are having a great stay (and it felt genuine, which is rare these days haha). Location leaves a little to be desired, but the road noise was minimal at night (and you should know it’s right next to a highway before you book , unless you didn’t do your homework and look at apple/google first haha) . Breakfast was a pleasant experience, sit down service and our server was attentive but not overbearing. Room was clean and had everything we needed. No smart tv in the room, but plenty of channels to keep us entertained (and it was a nice switch-up not having to browse through the streaming service haha). Parking lot was a little tight, but we were able to find a spot and we went during Valentine’s Day weekend, so it was most likely a lot busier than usual. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely come back!
